The Great Gatsby movie poster:
The title was specifically done in a shape of a pyramid because of the way the story was laid out. The word "the" is rising, to show that the story is is going from worse to better. In the beginning of the story, everything started out bad with the whole economy and the way people were, and that also includes the colors. The letter "t" is gray because it shows that everything is not so great in life when someone starts to live a new life and the colors soon begin to get better and that is where the word "Great" is in gold to show that everyone is prosperous and happy in life. They have everything they want in life. As the story starts to come to a close, the word "Gatsby" is descending and the colors are turning into a nasty color, to show that the characters in the story are falling apart with the economy and with one another.
The four hearts in the middle of the movie poster are broken hearts. Instead of having two of the same colored hearts next to each other, I had them on opposite ends, so different colored hearts are being paired to represent the different people the characters loved. For Example: Daisy and Gatsby and Tom and Myrtle.
Courtney Cox is playing Jordan Baker and Nick Carraway is playing David Arquette in the Great Gatsby movie. I decided to choose these two as the actors and actress because their marriage started out strong, but turned for the worse when they divorced and that is similar to what had happened in the Great Gatsby book. The two thought they could do the impossible by dating each other, while both were popular, but that did not last long.
As for Myrtle Wilson, it is played by angeline Jolie and George WIlson is played by Billy Bob Thorton. Daisy Buchanan is being played by Jennifer Aniston and Tom Buchanan is being played by Brad Pitt. The reason as to why these actors and actresses were chosen was because of their similar relationships as to those characters in the Great Gatsby. Similar to in real life, Angelina was together with Biily Bob and Jennifer was together with Brad until that fateful day when Angelina fell in love with Brad and Jennifer with another man (John Mayer). Their relationship was very strong in the beginning, but their true love was with another person. Their relatiobnship was very similar to the characters they play in the movie.
Jay Gatsby is played by John Mayer because in real life, John Mayer is in love with Jennifer and in teh story Gatsby is in love with Daisy.
